A stunning yellow Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster was recently spotted in the parking lot of a luxury apartment building in Nha Trang. According to sources, this particular car was imported to Vietnam back in 2011 and has rarely been seen on the roads since.
This Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster sports a license plate from Binh Thuan Province, and while the exterior remains a vibrant yellow, the rims have been painted to match the body, with a black soft top. Currently, there are over three of these Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadsters in Vietnam, two of which were hunted down by “Qua” Vu, and one is located in Hanoi.
When it was first introduced, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster had a price tag of approximately $130,000 USD. In Vietnam, these cars, being pre-owned, were priced at over 12 billion VND, and now they are traded for over 3 billion VND.
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage comes in two versions, the first introduced in 2005 and the second in 2018. The car made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2006 and was hailed as one of the sexiest convertibles on the market. The soft top version of the V8 Vantage can retract or raise its roof in just 18 to 20 seconds.
The soft top of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster can be operated while the car is in motion, although the British luxury car manufacturer recommends that drivers do so only when the vehicle’s speed is below 50 km/h.
Initially, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster was equipped with a 4.3-liter V8 engine, producing a maximum output of 385 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 409 Nm at 5,000 rpm.
The acceleration of this Binh Thuan businessman’s convertible Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster is impressive, reaching 97 km/h from a standstill in just 4.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 282 km/h.
In 2009, Aston Martin introduced a more powerful engine for the V8 Vantage Roadster, a 4.7-liter V8 that delivers 426 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque. This upgrade reduced the 0-97 km/h acceleration time to just 4.5 seconds, while the top speed increased to 290 km/h.
