At the 2025 Bangkok International Auto Show, Mazda stole the spotlight with the unveiling of their Iconic SP electric sports car.
According to the manufacturer, the Mazda Iconic SP boasts impressive dimensions with a length of 4,180 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, and a height of 1,150 mm. Its wheelbase measures 2,590 mm.
The Mazda Iconic SP is a sleek two-seater sports car with an elegant exterior design inspired by the brand’s signature Kodo design language.
The highlight of the front end is the pop-up headlight cluster, reminiscent of the RX-7. At the rear, the Iconic SP sports classic round taillights. Additionally, the car features butterfly doors and a set of aerodynamically designed five-spoke wheels.
The Mazda Iconic SP boasts a simple and practical cabin design with a digital instrument cluster and a central touchscreen integrated into the dashboard, rather than the popular floating design. The central console is minimalist, featuring push buttons for gear shifting and function controls.
Under the hood, the Iconic SP is equipped with an electric motor combined with a dual-rotor rotary engine, serving as a range extender. This setup delivers a combined output of approximately 365 horsepower, ensuring not just powerful performance but also a low center of gravity and ideal weight distribution for an engaging driving experience.
Mazda has equipped the Iconic SP with bidirectional charging technology, allowing it to function as a backup generator, providing enough electricity to power a household for over a week. However, specific details about the battery capacity have not been disclosed.
