Following the previous months, in March 2025, Volkswagen continues its promotional program by offering significant discounts on a range of their models, with savings of up to hundreds of millions of VND. The promotion takes the form of a 50% or 100% reduction in registration fees, depending on the model.

Specifically, the Volkswagen Touareg, a premium SUV, is now offered with a 100% registration fee support. With prices ranging from 2.699 to 3.099 billion VND, this promotion will save customers between 270 and 370 million VND, depending on the version and registration province or city.

Similar to the Touareg, the compact SUV Volkswagen Tiguan is also gifted with a 100% registration fee. With a starting price of 1.688 billion VND, the promotion for the Tiguan ranges from 168 to 202 million VND.

For the Teramont X, priced from 1.998 to 2.168 billion VND, Volkswagen offers a 50% discount on the registration fee, allowing customers to save between 100 and 130 million VND.

Meanwhile, the Volkswagen Teramont has a discount of about 140 million VND. The selling price of this model at the dealership is currently 1.998 billion VND.

Model Version Listed Price (billion VND) Promotion
Volkswagen Touareg Elegance 2.699 100% registration fee
Luxury 3.099
Volkswagen Tiguan 1.688 100% registration fee
Volkswagen Teramont X Luxury 1.998 50% registration fee
Platinum 2.168
Volkswagen Teramont 1.998 140 million VND

Promotion program for Volkswagen vehicles.

The only model that does not have a promotion this March is the Viloran. This is not surprising, as the Volkswagen Viloran has been selling well. Currently, this large MPV is the “cash cow” for the German brand in the Vietnamese market. In 2024 alone, Volkswagen sold approximately 2,000 units of the Viloran to Vietnamese customers.

The Volkswagen brand is focusing its resources on SUV and MPV models, following the general trend of the Vietnamese market. In contrast, low-slung models such as the Passat, Polo, and Virtus are not being imported with new versions into Vietnam.

All Volkswagen models in Vietnam are imported completely built units, resulting in relatively high prices compared to other vehicles in the same segment. Notably, some models like the Volkswagen Teramont are imported from the US, while the Viloran and Teramont X are sourced from China.

Volkswagen is not the only brand offering massive discounts; Subaru, for instance, provides promotions of up to over 400 million VND on models like the Outback, Forester, and Crosstrek. Other brands such as Toyota, Honda, Suzuki, Kia, Mitsubishi, and Hyundai also join the race with promotions worth tens of millions of VND.
