Volvo has recently unveiled the mid-life refresh of its XC90 for the Southeast Asian market at the Bangkok International Motor Show 2025 in Thailand.

Overall, the design of the Volvo XC90 2025 in Southeast Asia is not drastically different from the version introduced internationally. Specifically, the front of the car impresses with a grille that no longer has vertical slats but is instead replaced by cross-stitched lines.

The headlight cluster still bears the distinctive “Thor’s Hammer” shape but has been redesigned to be sleeker and more modern. The air intake and front bumper have been revamped, giving the front of the XC90 2025 a hint of an electric vehicle.

At the rear, the taillights are darkened with a flatter graphic design, paired with a subtly integrated rear bumper.

In terms of interior, the layout of the Volvo XC90 2025’s cabin remains unchanged, but the design has been simplified and modernized. The central touchscreen has been upgraded to an 11.9-inch display, and the user interface and experience have been improved, similar to the all-electric EX30 and EX90 models.

The XC90 2025 features a redesigned Bowers & Wilkins sound system with additional layers of materials to enhance noise cancellation, delivering a more authentic and immersive audio experience.

The Volvo XC90 showcased at BIMS 2025 is equipped with a plug-in hybrid T8 powertrain, delivering a combined output of 455 horsepower and 709 Nm of torque, along with a 14.7 kWh battery. The vehicle can travel up to 70 kilometers on pure electric power.
