Despite its relatively young age in the automotive industry, Xiaomi has consistently created a stir.

After the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric car took the market by storm with over 10,000 orders in just 2 hours, their manufacturing plant has also become a sought-after destination, with tour tickets reselling at concert-level prices.

As soon as Xiaomi opened registrations for tours of their automotive factory, thousands signed up, making the free slots highly competitive. On social media platforms, these slots are being resold for up to 2,000 yuan (approximately 7 million VND).

The tour offers participants a chance to witness the advanced technologies behind Xiaomi’s hottest electric car.

The first round of registrations saw 4,600 applicants, but with each tour limited to 20 guests, securing a spot became extremely challenging. Nevertheless, many young people were willing to travel to Beijing at their own expense to visit the factory.

The tour lasts about an hour, with 40 minutes dedicated to exploring the technology exhibition area, where guests can learn about the advanced features of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. The remaining 20 minutes are spent in the production workshop, where guests can observe the highly automated assembly lines supported by robots.

Additionally, guests can test-drive the vehicles and witness the modern production process overseen by just 100 workers on a line capable of producing up to 20,000 cars per month.

Xiaomi has not only succeeded in the electric car market but has also created a completely new trend with its factory tours, transforming an industrial activity into a special experience that attracts young Chinese people.
