Lexus & Lexus Challenge
Lexus Challenge is committed to continuous improvement and innovation, striving to take Vietnamese golf to the international stage. The bold pursuit of passion and limitless creativity are core values that define Lexus, and they also represent the long-term values that Lexus aims to contribute to Vietnamese society and sports.
This synergy of passion for movement is the spirit that Lexus hopes to bring to the Lexus Challenge, inspiring a powerful transformation and contributing to new milestones for Vietnamese golf in the future.
Move Beyond – Chuyển mình bứt phá
Since 2019, the Lexus Challenge has been more than just a tournament; it’s a platform that connects generations, inspires young talents, and propels Vietnamese golf to greater heights. With each passing season, we not only witness moments of brilliance but also open up opportunities for young golfers to test their skills, grow, and make their mark on the domestic and international golf scenes.
Throughout its five-year journey, Lexus Challenge has served as a true launchpad for Vietnamese golfers to achieve the extraordinary: Nguyen Anh Minh, the 2022 Lexus Challenge champion, went on to win a silver medal in the team event and a bronze medal in the individual event at the 32nd SEA Games, and he was also named the ‘Best Amateur Golfer’ at the 2025 Lexus Challenge. Le Khanh Hung, the 2023 Lexus Challenge winner, brought home Vietnam’s first-ever gold medal in golf at the same SEA Games.
Embracing the spirit of Move Beyond – Chuyển mình bứt phá, the 2025 Lexus Challenge joined forces with the Asian Development Tour, presenting a challenging arena for professional Vietnamese golfers to gain international exposure and experience. The tournament brought together 35 professional players who are official members of the VGA Tour and 17 promising young amateur talents from Vietnam. The competition was further intensified by the participation of 86 professional golfers from the ADT.
Additionally, the 2025 Lexus Challenge marked a milestone as the first Vietnamese professional golf tournament to offer a prize fund of $90,000, with the champion taking home an impressive $15,750. The title of the 2025 Lexus Challenge champion was claimed by Aidric Chan from the Philippines, who made a remarkable “Move Beyond” leap from fourth place to the top spot. He concluded the tournament with a total score of (-8) over three days, impressing everyone with 01 eagle, 05 birdies, 01 bogey, and 01 double bogey, ultimately becoming the player with the highest score in the Final Round.
Four Vietnamese golfers, including Nguyen Quang Za Vinh, Nguyen Nhat Long, Tran Le Duy Nhat, and Nguyen Tuan Kiet, showcased their skills in the third round. Notably, Nguyen Quang Za Vinh achieved the title of Best Amateur, sharing his gratitude: “I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Lexus for their partnership in this high-quality tournament, providing Vietnamese youth with opportunities to compete against leading golfers from across the continent and the globe.” This accomplishment stands as a testament to both Za Vinh’s pursuit of his golf passion and the role of the Lexus Challenge as a catalyst for propelling Vietnamese golfing talents onto the regional and international stages.
Indra Dharmawan, Director of Sales and Service Operations, representing Lexus Vietnam, shared his thoughts: “As we mark the fifth year of our partnership with the Lexus Challenge, the tournament has become a pivotal turning point for Vietnamese professional golf to step onto the regional stage, and it also serves as a solid foundation for Vietnamese golfers to pursue their dreams.”
