The Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) this year featured a range of electric vehicles from China, including the Zeekr 7X.
The Zeekr 7X is planned to be sold in the Thai market this year before entering other Southeast Asian countries. As the Zeekr brand has already entered the Vietnamese market since September 2024, it is likely that the 7X will be sold in Vietnam soon.
A closer look at the Zeekr 7X – an electric vehicle that may soon be available in Vietnam.
The Zeekr 7X is an electric SUV that has been on the Chinese market since September last year. Positioned as a direct competitor to the Tesla Model Y and BYD Sealion 7, this newcomer from Zeekr boasts impressive dimensions: 4,825 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,666 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,925 mm. Compared to the Tesla-branded rival, the Zeekr 7X is larger and has a longer wheelbase. However, it is slightly smaller than the BYD offering.
The Zeekr 7X falls into the mid-size electric SUV segment.
In the Chinese market, the Zeekr 7X is offered with two battery options. The first is a lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery called “Golden Brick” with a capacity of 75 kWh. The second is a nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery named “Qilin” with a capacity of 100 kWh. Both battery options come with a rear-mounted electric motor that delivers a maximum output of 416 horsepower and a peak torque of 440 Nm.
The LFP battery provides a driving range of 605 km according to China’s CLTC standard, equivalent to 480 km under the WLTP testing cycle in Europe. The NMC battery offers even more impressive figures, with a range of 780 km and 615 km under the same standards, respectively.
The Zeekr 7X has a maximum range of 615 km according to the WLTP standard.
Additionally, the Zeekr 7X offers an all-wheel-drive (AWD) version with a front-mounted electric motor, boosting the total output to 637 horsepower and 710 Nm of torque. This AWD model utilizes the NMC battery and offers a range of 705 km under the CLTC standard or 543 km under the WLTP standard.
Air suspension is standard on the AWD version and optional on other variants.
In terms of charging, the Zeekr 7X impresses with its fast-charging capabilities. It can charge from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes using a DC fast charger, specifically for the LFP battery variant. For the NMC battery variants, the charging time is 15 minutes. The vehicle also supports external power supply for other devices, offering fast DC charging up to 60 kW or slow AC charging at 3.3 kW, thanks to its PMA2+ platform and 800V electrical architecture.
The Zeekr 7X boasts a sleek and aerodynamic design.
Beyond its impressive performance and range, the Zeekr 7X also delivers a comprehensive list of features. Standard equipment includes a 13.02-inch digital instrument cluster, a 16-inch mini-LED touchscreen infotainment system, two Qi wireless chargers, a 21-speaker audio system with headrest-mounted speakers, Nappa leather upholstery, and power-adjustable seats for both rows.

Priced from 229,900 to 269,900 Chinese yuan (approximately 804 to 944 million VND) in the Chinese market, the Zeekr 7X is more expensive than the BYD Sealion 7. This is understandable, as the Zeekr 7X positions itself in a higher segment. However, compared to the Tesla Model Y, this Chinese offering is more affordable.
