Toyota recently unveiled the mid-life cycle upgraded version of its large SUV, the Land Cruiser 300, in its home market of Japan.
While there are no changes to the exterior compared to the 2021 model, Toyota has significantly upgraded the Land Cruiser 300’s interior to offer a more premium experience to its users.
As such, the mid-range and high-end versions are now equipped with a 12.3-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, allowing for customizable displays. Meanwhile, the standard version retains the 7-inch screen paired with an 8-inch central infotainment screen, but customers can opt for a larger 12.3-inch display.
The Land Cruiser 300 2025 has been enhanced with a camera-based automatic braking system and an upgraded internal network security system.
The Land Cruiser 300 is currently one of the most stolen vehicles in Japan. To combat this issue, Toyota has integrated advanced security technologies such as “My Car Start Lock,” which enables users to remotely lock the engine via their smartphones, preventing theft even if the smart key is duplicated.
All versions of the Land Cruiser 300 2025 are also equipped with a fingerprint-recognition start button, a key proximity sensor, a tilt sensor for theft prevention, and an immobilizer system for maximum vehicle protection.
Powering the Land Cruiser 300 2025 are two familiar engine options: a turbocharged 3.5L V6 gasoline engine and a 3.3L V6 diesel engine. Both are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system. Toyota states that while there is no increase in power, the diesel engine has been refined to meet the latest emission standards in Japan.
The Land Cruiser 300 2025 GX gasoline version starts at 5,252,500 yen (approximately 899.7 million VND). The GR Sport diesel version is priced at up to 8,136,800 yen (equivalent to 1.39 billion VND).
Currently, Toyota has stopped taking deposits for the Land Cruiser 300 as the order backlog in Japan has extended to several years, far exceeding the company’s production capacity. For now, the company will focus on delivering vehicles to customers who have already placed their orders.
