Honda has officially launched its new electric scooter, the CUV e:, in Vietnam, following the recent introduction of the ICON e:. Both models made their debut in the country at the VMS 2024 exhibition last October.
Unlike the ICON e:, the CUV e: is not assembled in Vietnam but imported from Thailand. Additionally, this electric scooter is not available for consumer purchase and is only offered as a rental vehicle.
The Honda CUV e: electric scooter is available for rent in Vietnam at a monthly rate of 1.5 million VND.
According to Honda, the CUV e: will be available for rent in limited quantities across Vietnam. The scooter is expected to be rented out with two batteries and two chargers at 19 Honda Authorized Dealers (HEAD) in three major cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Danang. The rental rates are as follows:

Renting the Honda CUV e: is made simple with an online contract signing process through the My Honda+ application. Users will receive payment reminders and enjoy flexible payment options for the rental service fees via this app.

The Honda CUV e: is a premium electric scooter designed with a minimalist style and a choice of two colors: black and white. Compared to the ICON e:, the CUV e: has larger dimensions and weight. It measures 1,889 mm in length, 664 mm in width, and 1,096 mm in height, with a ground clearance of 139 mm and a weight of 118 kg. With a seat height of 761 mm, this electric scooter is well-suited to the stature of Vietnamese people.
The Honda CUV e: features a minimalist design and is available in two color options.
The scooter is equipped with LED lights at the front and rear, a digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch TFT screen, and the Honda RoadSync Duo system, which enhances smart features via Bluetooth. It also offers ample storage space, a USB Type-C charging port, a smart key system, and a combined braking system (CBS).

The Honda CUV e: is powered by a 6 kW electric motor at 3,500 rpm and delivers a maximum torque of 22 Nm at 2,300 rpm, equivalent to a 110cc gasoline engine. It offers three driving modes: Standard, Sport, and Economy, as well as a reverse mode for maneuvering in tight spaces. The scooter can accelerate from 0 to 50 meters in 5.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 83 km/h.
This electric scooter uses two removable and interchangeable Honda Mobile Power Pack e: (MPP) batteries. The lithium-ion batteries can be charged from 0% to 100% in 6 hours. According to Honda’s internal testing, a full charge can provide a range of over 70 kilometers. Users have the option to charge the batteries either on or off the scooter.
The Honda CUV e: can travel over 70 kilometers on a single battery charge.
The Honda CUV e: is expected to be available for rent starting July 2025.
