The all-new SUV has just been launched in the Vietnamese market, competing directly with the Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5.
The Geely EX5, known as the Geely Galaxy E5 in China, officially made its debut in Vietnam on March 21st.
The Geely EX5 is designed as a global model, with simultaneous testing conducted for both left-hand and right-hand drive markets. It is positioned as a direct rival to the Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5. With dimensions of 4,615 mm in length, 1,901 mm in width, and 1,670 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, the EX5 is built on the Geely Electric Architecture (GEA) platform and boasts an impressive 0.269 Cd drag coefficient.
The front of the EX5 is characterized by its striking matrix grille. The sleek headlamps and DRLs are integrated into a single unit, positioned below the hood. A distinctive J-shaped LED light signature sits above the front bumper’s air intake.
From the side, the Geely EX5 showcases a sleek profile with a prominent character line and hidden door handles, enhancing its aerodynamic efficiency.
The interior of the EX5 exudes simplicity and elegance. It features a full LCD 10.2-inch instrument cluster, a multifunction steering wheel with four-way adjustment, and a large 15.4-inch floating central control screen with a 2.5K resolution. Apple CarPlay and CarbitLink connectivity are also included.
Under the hood, the EX5 impresses with its powerful electric motor, delivering 218 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. Its 60.2 kWh battery offers an impressive range of up to 430 km on a single charge. With a 0-100 km/h sprint time of just 6.9 seconds and advanced fast-charging technology that charges from 30% to 80% in 20 minutes, the EX5 is well-equipped to meet the demands of modern Vietnamese customers.
