On April 10, 2025, G7 Taxi Joint Stock Management Company signed a memorandum of understanding with GSM to purchase 899 VinFast electric vehicles as phase 1 of its green transition strategy, aiming to gradually replace its current gasoline-powered fleet with environmentally friendly electric cars.

According to the partnership agreement, G7 Taxi will acquire 899 white VinFast VF 5 vehicles to launch its green taxi service in major cities by the end of 2025. This model is particularly well-suited for urban taxi services due to its flexible operation and significantly lower operating costs compared to gasoline vehicles in the same price range.

In addition to the VF 5, G7 Taxi will expand its electric taxi fleet to include the 7-seat MPV model, VinFast Limo Green, when it is released by VinFast in August 2025. This is considered an ideal choice for transport service businesses, catering to group travels or family needs.

Through its collaboration with Xanh SM and the VinFast ecosystem, G7 Taxi can optimize its revenue by leveraging the benefits offered by Xanh SM, including integration on their platform, application fee discounts, and technological solutions that streamline operations and enhance user experiences. Moreover, G7 Taxi will enjoy full access to the V-Green charging station system.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, General Director of G7 Taxi, shared: “For transport service businesses, the transition from gasoline to electric vehicles is a practical solution that reduces costs, increases profits, and improves service quality for customers. It also enhances the driving experience and work efficiency for our drivers, while demonstrating our corporate social responsibility in protecting the environment and improving the quality of life for our community. G7 Taxi believes that, together with Xanh SM, we will deliver green, modern, and reliable journeys for our customers.”

G7 is currently the largest taxi alliance in Hanoi and ranks among the top 3 transport companies in Vietnam, with 4,000 vehicles and 16 member companies. This investment of nearly 899 VinFast electric vehicles marks the first step in G7’s green transition strategy, moving towards a more environmentally friendly fleet.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Global General Director of GSM, stated: “G7’s decision to adopt all-electric vehicles is a clear testament to the growing trend of sustainable green mobility. As a pioneering enterprise, GSM is committed to supporting our partners in their transition journey, as we collectively work towards a future of emission-free mobility for all.”
