Vietnamese automobile manufacturer, VinFast, has released its domestic sales figures for March 2025. The company delivered over 12,100 electric vehicles to domestic consumers last month, a slight decrease of 3.2% compared to the previous month.
The best-selling VinFast model for March 2025 was the VF 5, with sales of more than 4,400 units, a growth of approximately 46.6%. With these impressive figures, the VinFast VF 5 is likely to be the best-selling model in the entire market.
Coming in second place in terms of sales within the VinFast family is the VF 3, with 3,700 units sold, a decrease of 28.8%. The corresponding sales figures for the VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 models are over 1,100 and 600 units, respectively. The remaining sales are contributed by the VinFast VF 8, VF 9, and VF e34 models.
Thus, in the first three months of 2025, VinFast accumulated sales of more than 35,100 vehicles. The best-selling model during this period was the “national” electric car, VinFast VF 3, with 13,100 units sold. Following closely behind are the VinFast VF5 with 10,800 units sold and the VF 6 with over 4,100 units.
In March 2025, VinFast adjusted its business strategy in the Vietnamese market. According to the company, starting from March 1, 2025, they officially stopped offering the option to lease batteries for electric cars and motorcycles. In other words, from that point on, VinFast only sold vehicles with included batteries, similar to many other electric car manufacturers. Following this announcement, the prices of VinFast electric cars with included batteries were significantly reduced, ranging from 11 to 181 million VND, depending on the model.
Additionally, VinFast started taking reservations and announced the prices of the new Green models, specifically designed for customers purchasing electric vehicles for ride-sharing services. These models include the VinFast Minio Green, Limo Green, Herio Green, and Nerio Green, with prices ranging from 269 to 749 million VND. In just the first 72 hours, GSM received a total of 45,813 orders for these four models, setting a new record in the Vietnamese automobile market.
Out of the four VinFast Green models, the Minio and Limo are entirely new products that have not been previously launched. Meanwhile, the Herio is a modified VinFast VF 5, and the Nerio is a VF e34 adjusted by the company to suit business purposes.
The expected delivery time for the Herio and Nerio models is April 2025. In contrast, customers who purchase the Minio and Limo models will have to wait until August 2025.
