A rare fire incident occurred at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) in the Philippines when a display car suddenly caught fire inside the World Trade Center.

The fire started from an unspecified model car, causing a brief panic in the exhibition area. Fortunately, on-site security and fire personnel quickly responded and successfully contained the blaze before it could spread. Except for the car that caught fire, which was almost completely burned, the surrounding vehicles – including a modified Toyota Supra – remained safe and undamaged.

Although the incident happened during peak visitor hours, no injuries were reported, which is a relief.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The MIAS organizers have released a statement assuring that they are cooperating fully with the authorities and conducting a thorough review of all technical, operational, and safety display procedures.

In their statement, MIAS representatives emphasized, “The venue remains entirely safe, and the safety and well-being of our visitors, partners, and exhibitors are our top priority.”

MIAS 2025 marks the 20th edition of the exhibition, featuring a host of leading automotive, motorcycle, and mobile technology brands from across Asia. Despite the unexpected incident, the show will go on as planned.
