On December 15, 2024, the 9th Das Treffen took place at the IMPACT Speedpark circuit in Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.

This was where Sihabutr Xoomsai – affectionately known as “Tenn” – initiated a gathering with fellow Porsche enthusiasts. Since then, Das Treffen, which means “the gathering” in German, has evolved into a large-scale festival for Porsche aficionados.

The event attracted 627 cars and more than 3,050 Porsche enthusiasts from all over, making it the largest Porsche gathering in Southeast Asia.

At the event, Porsche sports cars were lined up in front of the massive “Das Treffen 9” photo wall, while owners enthusiastically captured memorable moments with their families and friends on this trip.

With this year’s theme, “Limited Edition”, the go-kart track became an exclusive exhibition space for aficionados to admire limited-edition classic and modern Porsche models, from the Carrera GT line with only 1,270 units produced to the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 997-generation limited to 600 versions.

Sihabutr Xoomsai, one of the founders of Das Treffen, shared, “The record-breaking numbers at Das Treffen 9 once again prove that Southeast Asia is one of the most vibrant and passionate Porsche communities in the world – this is also the core value that makes the brand unique. We are honored to welcome owners from neighboring countries who have traveled long distances to attend this ninth gathering.”

“We are proud to build one of the largest Porsche enthusiast communities in Southeast Asia,” said Pawarapa Dupassakoon, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Porsche Thailand. “2024 marks several important milestones, including the introduction of the first regionally-assembled Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe, the announcement of four new Porsche Centers in the next two years, and the first Porsche Design Tower in Asia in Bangkok. The new Porsche Bangna Center was also inaugurated in December 2024. We would like to thank the community with a day of friendship and passion for Porsche at Das Treffen.”

“Das Treffen proves that Porsche is not just about sports cars but also about community,” said Yannick Ott, Marketing Director at Porsche Asia Pacific. “For the past nine years and the years to come, we are always excited to see the vibrancy of this event. Meeting people from different cultures, from Thailand and the region, customers and fans, all gathering in Bangkok because of a shared passion for Porsche – there is truly no substitute for this experience.”

Porsche Village at Das Treffen 9

Porsche Asia Pacific and Porsche Thailand elevated Das Treffen 9 by introducing the Porsche Village hospitality area, a two-story outdoor space that allowed visitors to overlook the exhibition area and Porsche sports cars. The space was designed to simulate a racing experience, with the #Raceborn zone displaying the 911 GT3 equipped with the Manthey package and the Porsche Lifestyle booth.

In line with the “Limited Edition” theme, Porsche Thailand displayed several rare Porsche models such as the 918 Spyder, of which only 918 exist worldwide, and the latest special edition from Zuffenhausen: the 911 S/T.

One-of-a-Kind Creation from the Sonderwunsch Program at Das Treffen 9

The highlight of Porsche Village was the rarest Porsche model – the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade, which was introduced at Porsche Centre Bangna Thailand just a day earlier.

The Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade was designed in collaboration between Porsche Asia Pacific and experts and engineers from the Sonderwunsch program at the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur factory, celebrating Southeast Asia’s rich heritage and creative spirit, looking towards the future.

The Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade drew attention with its unique combination of two Chromaflair effect paints – Urban Bamboo and Shifting Carbon. This complex color-shifting finish took nearly a year to develop and over 80 hours to hand-paint. Carbon fiber details and logos inspired by the mythical creature “LongMa” adorned the vehicle, further emphasizing the craftsmanship on this one-of-a-kind edition.

Das Treffen 9 marked a memorable 2024 for Porsche in Thailand, with significant milestones such as the launch of the first regionally-assembled Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe, the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok, and the opening of Curvistan Bangkok.
