The all-new mid-size electric SUV Mazda EZ-60 is set to make its global debut at the Shanghai Auto Show 2025, which opens on April 23. However, ahead of this date, the Chinese media has had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the vehicle, capturing detailed images that give us a clear picture of its interior and exterior design.
The Mazda EZ-60 makes a stunning entrance ahead of its official launch.
Following its eye-catching exterior style, the EZ-60’s interior is also draped in a vibrant purple hue, from the dashboard and seats to the center console armrest and even the two-spoke steering wheel. For those who find the purple interior too bold, a more subdued white interior option is also available.
The Mazda EZ-60’s mid-size SUV cabin boasts an impressive array of screens.
The standout feature, however, is the ultra-wide screen that spans a massive 26.45 inches, stretching across to the passenger side. According to local media reports, this is a seamless, single-piece screen with a 5K resolution and the latest Snapdragon 8295 chip from Qualcomm. It also comes with a 23-speaker audio system that supports Dolby Atmos, delivering an immersive in-car entertainment experience.

But that’s not all – the EZ-60 also features an impressive augmented reality head-up display (AR HUD) that projects a virtual image equivalent to a massive 100-inch screen. Additionally, digital side-view mirrors with small screens are placed on both front doors, potentially as an optional feature. When combined with the digital instrument cluster, this electric SUV boasts a total of six screens, catering to the tech-savvy Chinese market that values high-tech features and multiple displays.
Other notable interior features include one-touch flat-folding front seats, heated and ventilated seats for both rows, and a spacious cargo area. The standard cargo capacity stands at 350 liters but can be expanded to a generous 2,036 liters by folding down the rear seats. There’s also a sizable front trunk with a capacity of 126 liters.

As previously reported, the Mazda EZ-60 will be offered in both pure electric (EV) and hybrid (REEV) variants in the Chinese market. The EV version is expected to deliver an impressive range of over 600 kilometers based on the CLTC standard in China, thanks to its 78 kWh battery pack. The WLTP-estimated range is predicted to be slightly lower, around 479 kilometers.
The REEV version, on the other hand, will feature a 1.5L four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 95 horsepower. This engine will primarily act as a generator to charge the battery, extending the range to over 1,000 kilometers. The hybrid model will use a smaller 31.7 kWh battery pack, and according to registration documents with China’s MIIT, the EZ-60’s electric motor will have a maximum output of 258 horsepower.

In terms of dimensions, the EZ-60 measures 4,850 mm in length, 1,935 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,902 mm. These proportions position it squarely in the mid-size SUV segment, where it will go head-to-head with the likes of the Tesla Model Y.
