On April 17th, in Ho Chi Minh City, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars HCMC officially introduced the ultra-luxury sedan Ghost Series II – the mid-life upgrade of the second generation.

The starting price of this car is VND 34.9 billion for the standard version and VND 38.9 billion for the Ghost Extended Series II (long-wheelbase version). In addition, customers can also order the Black Badge version, but the price has not been announced.

Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II weighs 2,435 tons, with dimensions of 5,457 x 1,948 x 1,550 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, and a wheelbase of 3,295 mm. Meanwhile, the Extended version has a wheelbase of up to 3,465 mm, an increase of 170 mm for more legroom in the rear.

As a mid-life upgrade, the car retains its signature monolithic design style but has been subtly refined to enhance its modernity and luxury.

The front of the car impresses with the new Pantheon grille, which can illuminate. The redesigned headlights and daytime running lights, along with chrome details at the front, create a striking visual effect for the Spirit of Ecstasy emblem. At the rear, the LED taillights draw inspiration from the Spectre electric car, combined with soft chrome details and the exquisitely engraved double “R” symbol on the metal surface.

The car is equipped with 22-inch, 9-spoke alloy wheels, with two surface finish options: fully polished or partially polished. Rolls-Royce has also added several new exterior color combinations for the Ghost Series II 2025, bringing the total number of choices to over 44,000 colors. Customers can even request unique and exclusive color blends.

The Ghost Series II on display at the event featured Mustique Blue, a shade of blue inspired by the Caribbean islands. The British automaker used glass and mica particles to create a sparkling effect reminiscent of sunlight on the sea. This color was also used on the 1929 Phantom II Continental, owned by Henry Royce himself.

Inside the cabin, the 2025 Ghost Series II has been refined with more modern technology. The dashboard features a seamless glass design, integrating a customizable digital instrument cluster. The central display uses the Spirit operating system and comes with the Rolls-Royce Whispers app, allowing owners to send destinations from their phones to the navigation system, track the vehicle’s location, and remotely manage locks.

Rear passengers are treated to two independent entertainment screens, supporting private device connections and personalized seat adjustments for heating, cooling, and massage functions. The standard audio system comprises 18 speakers with a 1,400-watt output, enhanced by aluminum surfaces beneath the control area, acting as low-frequency resonators.

With the Bespoke audio option, Rolls-Royce adds ceiling-mounted speakers. When combined with the optional Starlight headliner, the optical fibers not only illuminate but also integrate acoustic filters to improve the listening experience.

Customers can also opt for the Serenity Seating package for the rear seats, featuring extended leg rests reminiscent of first-class airline seats, and a wine cooler preset with two temperature settings – 6 degrees Celsius for Non-Vintage Champagne and 11 degrees Celsius for Vintage Champagne.

Next to the central display is an art display area: a miniature Spirit of Ecstasy statue illuminated like a “mini stage”. When the car starts, the light from below the statue gradually changes, creating a unique visual effect.

The passenger-side dashboard continues to feature the Illuminated Fascia, inspired by the night sky and the movement of stars.

In the cabin of the Ghost Series II, Rolls-Royce uses Grey Stained Ash wood, a porous wood structure treated with superfine metal particles to create a sparkling light effect. The development of this technical treatment took over four years.

Additionally, the car also features Duality Twill fabric, a cross-woven material made from bamboo fiber, inspired by Le Jardin des Méditerranées bamboo forest near Henry Royce’s winter villa. The fabric is embroidered with intricate decorative patterns, totaling over 2.2 million stitches and taking more than 20 hours to complete for each interior set.

Ghost Series II is still powered by a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, producing 563 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic ZF transmission and all-wheel drive.

The car is equipped with the exclusive Planar suspension system, featuring Upper Wishbone front dampers, self-leveling air suspension, and large rear struts. The Flagbearer technology integrates road-surface observation cameras and satellite positioning to allow the vehicle to proactively adjust the shocks according to upcoming road conditions.
