Table: Sales figures for A-segment cars in March 2025 (units: cars)

Hyundai Grand i10: 361 Cars Sold

The Hyundai Grand i10 witnessed an impressive sales performance in March 2025, selling 361 units, reflecting a 67.1% growth rate. This solid performance cements the model’s leadership position in Vietnam’s A-segment car market.

Hyundai Grand i10

The Hyundai Grand i10 has consistently maintained stable sales figures over time, partly due to its attractive pricing, ranging from VND 360 to 455 million, and its competitive features within the segment.

In 2024, the model received an upgrade with a slightly refreshed exterior design, enhanced by features such as LED daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and mirror-integrated turn signals. The interior boasts an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a dedicated Vietnamese navigation system, push-button start, and smart keyless entry.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Grand i10 is powered by a 1.2L Kappa MPi gasoline engine that delivers 83 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

Toyota Wigo: 171 Cars Sold

Ranking second in the A-segment for March 2025 is the Toyota Wigo, with a sales figure of 171 units, representing a 24.8% growth rate.

Toyota Wigo

The Toyota Wigo is currently offered in a single G variant with a price tag of VND 405 million. While it has fewer versions and a higher starting price compared to its Korean competitors, the Wigo has managed to maintain a steady customer base.

In terms of design and features, the Wigo holds its own against its rivals, boasting LED headlights, electrically adjustable and foldable mirrors, 14-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a four-speaker audio setup. Additionally, it offers advanced safety features rarely seen in this segment, including a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) system.

The Toyota Wigo is powered by a 1.2L engine paired with a Dual-CVT automatic transmission, producing 87 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. With the discontinuation of the E variant, the Wigo is now only available with an automatic transmission.

Kia Morning: 31 Cars Sold

In contrast to its competitors, the Kia Morning experienced a sales decline in March 2025, selling only 31 units, a drop of 44.6%. This performance not only places it last in the A-segment but also among the lowest-selling cars in the entire market.

Kia Morning

The Kia Morning is currently available in two variants in Vietnam: the MT and X-Line, priced at VND 349 million and VND 424 million, respectively, making it the most affordable option in the A-segment.

However, the Morning lags behind its competitors in terms of features. It lacks LED headlights and cruise control, and its design and equipment have remained largely unchanged for quite some time.

That said, the Morning still offers some notable features, including LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, electrically adjustable and foldable mirrors with turn signals, 14- to 15-inch wheels, an analog instrument cluster with a multi-information display, leather upholstery, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a six-speaker audio setup, and automatic climate control.

The Kia Morning is powered by a 1.25L Kappa gasoline engine that produces 83 horsepower and 120 Nm of torque, coupled with either a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission.
