The Skoda Elroq is an all-new electric SUV that made its debut in October 2024. It is also the model that will gradually replace the Skoda Karoq in the market. Half a year after its launch, the Skoda Elroq introduced the high-performance vRS version. True to the vRS style, the car is upgraded with a more powerful engine and enhanced interior and exterior designs.

Skoda Elroq, the SUV that is set to replace the Karoq currently sold in Vietnam, now has a high-performance vRS variant.

As the most premium offering in the Skoda Elroq lineup, the vRS boasts a 52 horsepower boost compared to the standard models, thanks to its dual-motor electric setup. The car’s total output stands at 340 horsepower, and when combined with its all-wheel-drive system, it can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds—a full 1.2 seconds quicker than the regular version. Additionally, Skoda offers two engine sound simulations for the Elroq vRS: Sport and Futuristic.

But that’s not all; the Skoda Elroq vRS also utilizes an 84 kWh battery, delivering an impressive 550 km of range on the WLTP cycle. Despite sharing the same battery as the previously launched Skoda Elroq 85, the vRS sees a 32 km reduction in range.

However, the Elroq vRS redeems itself as Skoda’s fastest-charging model to date. With a rapid DC 185 kW charger, it can juice up from 10% to 80% in approximately 26 minutes. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% using a slower AC 11 kW charger takes eight hours.

Beyond its potent powertrain, the Skoda Elroq vRS boasts a sportier chassis, a 15 mm lower ride height at the front, and a 10 mm reduction in height at the rear. The steering has been tuned for a sportier feel, and the front brakes feature two-piston calipers for improved performance.

In terms of design, the Skoda Elroq vRS retains most of the standard model’s aesthetics while adding several eye-catching details. This includes the signature Mamba Green paint color, a grille with integrated lights, a front bumper with accents matching the body color, a honeycomb air intake, vRS badges on the front fenders and black roof rails.

The Skoda Elroq vRS boasts a more aggressive front-end design compared to the standard model.

This high-performance variant also comes equipped with LED Matrix headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, or optional 21-inch wheels with a unique design. The rear bumper is finished in black, featuring a full-width reflector, and the rear window is tinted.

The 5-inch digital instrument cluster and 13-inch infotainment screen feature exclusive graphics for the vRS model. The vehicle also offers an optional head-up display with augmented reality technology.
