More than a month ago, there were rumors that the second Ferrari 812 GTS convertible supercar had arrived in Vietnam. However, the circulated images were not very clear until recently, when the car was spotted on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City.
According to sources, the second Ferrari 812 GTS convertible was also delivered by the same unit that imported the first one, and it was handed over to Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu. The difference between the two cars is that the new one has silver brake calipers instead of yellow.
With the arrival of the second Ferrari 812 GTS convertible in Vietnam, Vietnamese tycoons now own four Ferrari 812s, evenly split between the coupe, dubbed Superfast, and the convertible, known as GTS. They are only missing the limited Competizione edition.
It is unclear how the newly spotted Ferrari 812 GTS in Vietnam was sold, but it is known that Thai tycoons had to shell out 34.7 million Baht, or approximately 26 billion VND, to own the Ferrari 812 GTS convertible through official channels.
At its launch, the Ferrari 812 GTS convertible was priced at over $450,000, equivalent to 10.5 billion VND. However, currently, used cars have increased in price from $100,000 to $250,000, depending on their newness and options.
The arrival of the Ferrari 812 GTS convertible in Vietnam can be seen as a blessing from the Italian carmaker to its customers. Previous high-end versions, such as the Ferrari 599 GTB and Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, did not have commercially produced convertible versions.
The GTS version has the advantage of a hard-top convertible that can be opened or closed in just 14 seconds. Even when the car is in motion, the roof can still be operated as long as the Ferrari 812 GTS is traveling at a speed below 45 km/h.
The 812 GTS is the most powerful V12 Ferrari convertible that can be easily purchased at the moment. Equipped with a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, the Ferrari 812 Superfast convertible boasts a maximum output of 789 horsepower and 718 Nm of torque.
The Ferrari 812 GTS convertible can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 8.3 seconds, eventually reaching a top speed of 340 km/h. These figures are equivalent to those of the Ferrari 812 Superfast.
