According to Car News China, Xiaomi has delivered an impressive 130,000 units of the SU7 to Chinese customers. It took the electric vehicle manufacturer, a subsidiary of the technology giant, just nine months to achieve its annual sales target. Since November 13, Xiaomi has handed over more than 30,000 SU7s to Chinese customers.

The Xiaomi SU7, a sleek electric sedan launched in China in late March, is priced between $29,600 and $41,500. Within 27 minutes of its launch, the SU7 garnered an astonishing 50,000 orders. While production faced some initial challenges, Xiaomi successfully ramped up SU7 production.

In the first month of official sales, Xiaomi announced the delivery of 10,000 SU7s. In the following 198 days, Xiaomi SU7 deliveries surged to a total of 100,000 units. With the addition of over 30,000 vehicles in the latest 45-day period, the total sales of the Xiaomi SU7 for 2024 now stand at approximately 130,000 units, meeting the technology group’s annual sales target.

Data from China EV DataTracker reveals that Xiaomi sold 16,328 units in December alone. Car News China commented that this is a notable achievement for a model that was only recently launched in the first quarter. Xiaomi’s plans for the coming year include the inauguration of phase 2 of its electric vehicle factory, which will further boost the company’s sales.

Additionally, Xiaomi has two new models in the works for the near future: the high-performance sports car Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, equipped with three electric motors, and the electric crossover Xiaomi YU7.

The Xiaomi SU7 marks the first offering from the electric carmaker under the technology conglomerate Xiaomi. This electric sedan boasts dimensions of 4,997 mm in length, 1,963 mm in width, and 1,455 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, making it slightly longer and taller than the Porsche Taycan.

The standard version of the Xiaomi SU7 features a rear-wheel-drive setup with a single motor, delivering 295 horsepower, and is paired with a 73.6 kWh battery pack.

The top-of-the-line variant sports a dual-motor configuration, generating 495 horsepower, and offers all-wheel drive along with a higher-capacity 101 kWh NMC battery. The Xiaomi SU7’s maximum range varies from 700 to 830 kilometers, depending on the configuration.
