On April 24, at Auto Shanghai 2025, the Hongqi brand introduced its first luxury off-road SUV, marking its first step into the Chinese off-road vehicle market. Hongqi also launched a campaign inviting the global public to name this new vehicle. The winner will receive a free car when the product is officially launched.

This Hongqi SUV is currently a concept car. Hongqi mentioned that the exterior design incorporates the concept of “dream and dream opposition” found in traditional Chinese architecture. This is a classic woodworking technique used to join parts together.
At the front, the vehicle features a geometric grille combined with round headlights that mimic the structure of the human eye. Accompanying this is the distinctive red logo stripe of the Hongqi brand.

Viewed from the side, the Hongqi SUV impresses with its square body, complemented by a yellow and black paint scheme. A roof ladder, roof rack, side step, and robust wheel arch liners are also featured.

Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with LiDAR sensors mounted on the roof and cameras installed on the front mudguards, indicating advanced autonomous driving capabilities.
The rear of the SUV exudes a rugged off-road style with a horizontally-opening tailgate-mounted spare wheel. Meanwhile, the vertical taillights further emphasize this design language.

Hongqi has not disclosed much information about the powertrain of this SUV. However, it is known that the vehicle will be equipped with a self-developed four-motor electric system, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just four seconds. Additionally, the presence of three differential locks promises impressive off-road capabilities.
