Geely Auto has just announced on its homepage that Chi Pu will be their official brand ambassador in Vietnam. We are thrilled to welcome Chi Pu as Geely’s brand ambassador in the country. Her dynamic personality and influence in the entertainment industry align perfectly with our brand’s progressive values,” said Michael Song, Vice President of Geely Auto Group.

According to Geely’s announcement, Chi Pu will be utilizing two of their vehicles, the Geely Coolray and the Geely Monjaro, for her activities in Vietnam. This confirms that the Chinese automaker intends to introduce the Monjaro as the second model in their lineup for Vietnamese customers, alongside the already available Geely Coolray.

Chi Pu has been actively pursuing a career in both Vietnam and China after her success in the reality show “Đạp gió.” She has appeared on various Chinese television programs, such as “Run For Time” on Hunan TV, as well as “A Delicious Guess,” “Hello Saturday,” “Tmall,” and the “Asian Youth Music Festival.”

On March 18, Chi Pu parted ways with her management company, The First Management, and has since been working independently. Just over a day later, she was appointed as Geely’s brand ambassador in Vietnam.

According to The First Management, they will no longer exclusively manage Chi Pu, but both parties will collaborate on commercial advertising ventures. The company also stated that they have been entrusted by Chi Pu for cooperation with Geely.

Geely, through its partnership with Tasco, is the latest automotive brand from the Geely Group to enter the Vietnamese market. The Geely Coolray is confirmed to be one of the first models introduced, positioned in the B-segment SUV category to compete with the likes of the Mitsubishi Xforce, Toyota Yaris Cross, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos.

The Geely Monjaro will also be making its way to Vietnam soon, targeting the D-segment SUV market, where it will go up against popular models such as the Ford Everest, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mazda CX-8, Kia Sorento, and Toyota Fortuner.
