On April 28, 2025, VinFast announced impressive delivery numbers for the first quarter of 2025, showcasing a significant surge in electric vehicle adoption.

The company delivered a total of 36,330 electric vehicles globally, marking a remarkable 296% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Notably, the VF 5 (Segment A) and VF 6 (Segment B) models stood out with exceptional growth rates of 153% and 453%, respectively, compared to Q1 2024.

Additionally, the VF 3 (mini-SUV) and VF 5 models accounted for 67% of total electric vehicle deliveries in the past quarter, underscoring the strong market acceptance of VinFast’s compact and agile urban vehicles.

Furthermore, VinFast also witnessed a significant boost in its two-wheeler division, with 44,904 electric motorcycles and scooters delivered worldwide in Q1, reflecting a substantial 473% year-over-year growth.

Le Thi Thu Thuy, Chairwoman of VinFast, shared her insights: “2024 laid a solid foundation for our growth, propelling us into 2025. With our diverse range of electric vehicles, we are confident in maintaining stable growth, adapting to market demands, and navigating macroeconomic fluctuations. The VF 3 and VF 5 continue to drive our growth in Q1, alongside promising models such as the VF 6. As we move forward this year, VinFast remains steadfast in its mission to pioneer and lead the green transportation revolution with innovative, breakthrough products, solidifying our number one position in Vietnam and accelerating our global expansion.”

During the first quarter, the Vietnamese market played a pivotal role in VinFast’s sales growth. Emboldened by its mission to lead the green transition, VinFast introduced attractive incentive policies and officially accepted deposits for the Green line through GSM partners and its nationwide authorized distribution system.

On the global front, VinFast continued to expand its presence in promising Asian markets. The company launched its brand in India, commenced sales of three models in Indonesia, and introduced five models in the Philippines. Concurrently, VinFast is diligently expanding its network of dealerships and service centers in these markets.

To reinforce its position and meet the growing demand for green transportation solutions, VinFast is expediting the construction of new production facilities. As per plans, the company will commence operations at its Indonesia, India, and Ha Tinh, Vietnam plants in 2025, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion strategy.

VinFast is expected to release its Q1 2025 financial report on June 9.
