The Shanghai Auto Show, taking place from April 23 to May 2, will feature over 70 domestic and international auto brands. The event is expected to showcase a range of new models, as well as the ace cards of various brands.
One of the focal points of the exhibition is the Geely brand, which has brought a diverse range of vehicles, from mini cars to large SUVs.
SUV Concept Galaxy Cruiser
The highlight of Geely’s booth is the all-new SUV Concept, named Galaxy Cruiser. It sports a boxy, off-road-inspired design.
According to the brand, the Galaxy Cruiser is the world’s first SUV to integrate comprehensive AI technology, offering three flexible driving modes: pure electric, hybrid, and extended-range. It features an intelligent all-wheel-drive system, adapting to various terrains and complex driving conditions.
The Galaxy Cruiser also boasts revolutionary active safety technologies, including a loss-of-control prevention system, fire prevention, continuous connectivity, collision avoidance, and even water flotation.
It has an AI-controlled digital chassis, enabling unique movements such as crab-like sideways driving, spinning on the spot, driving with a flat tire, and even automatic drifting.
Geely Geome Xingyuan EV
Geely also showcased the Geome Xingyuan EV at the exhibition. This compact, modern vehicle is well-suited for young customers. Its minimalist design, oval-shaped headlights and taillights, and hidden door handles make a striking impression.
In China, the Geome Xingyuan offers two engine options. The standard version features a TZ160XS001 motor from GLB Power, delivering 78 horsepower and 130 Nm of torque. This model has a range of up to 310 km per charge and a top speed of 125 km/h.
The higher-end version is equipped with a TZ160XS002 motor, generating 114 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. This model offers a range of up to 410 km per charge and a top speed of 135 km/h.
Both engine options are paired with lithium-iron-phosphate batteries from CATL, with capacities of 30.12 kWh and 40.16 kWh, respectively.
The vehicle supports both slow and fast charging. With fast charging, it only takes 21 minutes to charge the battery from 30% to 80%.
Geely Geome Panda Knight
The exhibition also featured the small electric car Geome Panda Knight, based on the Geely Panda Mini design from 2022.
With overall dimensions of (Length x Width x Height) at 3,135 x 1,565 x 1,655 mm and a wheelbase of 2,015 mm, the Geome Panda Knight competes in the same segment as the HongGuang MiniEV. If introduced in Vietnam, it would rival the VinFast VF 3.
The Geely Geome Panda Knight is equipped with a rear-wheel drive system and powered by a 17.03 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery, offering an all-electric range of up to 200 km. It produces 40 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque.
Geely Galaxy L7 EM-i PHEV
The Chinese automaker also displayed the Geely Galaxy L7 EM-i PHEV at the show. The Geely Galaxy L7 EM-i is designed based on the Geely Galaxy L7, featuring LED headlights and a closed-off grille area. The rear end sports the EM-i logo.
The Geely Galaxy L7 EM-i is powered by the brand’s new NordThor EM-i hybrid technology. It combines an 82 kW (110 hp) and 136 Nm naturally aspirated 1.5-liter engine with a 160 kW (215 hp) and 262 Nm electric motor. It also features an E-DHT and an 18.4 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery, offering an all-electric range of 115 km in the CLTC cycle.
Additionally, it is offered with a 1.5T engine producing 120 kW (161 hp) and 255 Nm of torque, along with a 107 kW (143 hp) and 338 Nm electric motor. This setup is paired with a 3DHT pro and an 18.7 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery, resulting in an all-electric range of 115 km in the CLTC cycle.
According to the manufacturer, the Geely Galaxy L7 EM-i has a fuel consumption of 1.05L to 1.3L per 100 km and a comprehensive range of 1,240 km. Charging the battery from 30% to 80% takes 20 minutes with fast charging and 2.7 to 3 hours with slow charging.
Geely Galaxy L6 EM-i
Geely Galaxy L6 EM-i was recently launched in the Chinese market in mid-February 2025. Design-wise, the Galaxy L6 EM-i retains the elegant and dynamic style characteristic of the Galaxy series.
The vehicle is equipped with Geely’s advanced NordThor 2.0 PHEV powertrain, which includes a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine producing 82 kW (110 hp) and 136 Nm of torque.
It is paired with a powerful permanent magnet synchronous motor, generating 160 kW (215 hp) and 262 Nm of torque.
The powertrain is integrated with an electronic E-DHT transmission, ensuring smooth and fuel-efficient performance.
With two battery options, an 8.5 kWh LFP battery offers a pure electric range of 60 km, while a 19.09 kWh battery provides a range of 140 km in the CLTC standard.
The Galaxy L6 EM-i has a combined range of up to 2,000 km and a fuel consumption of just 2.9L/100 km. With a top speed of 180 km/h and a 60L fuel tank, it is well-suited for long-distance journeys.
Geely Galaxy LEVC L380 Electric MPV
The exhibition also presented the LEVC L380, a luxury all-electric minivan. Both the name and design of this electric vehicle are inspired by the Airbus A380, the world’s largest passenger aircraft.
LEVC L380 is an independently developed model based on the SOA (Space-Oriented Architecture) platform. In fact, it is an improved version of the SEA architecture used in models such as the Zeekr 009 and Volvo EM90 from the Geely Group.
The LEVC L380 is equipped with a 268-horsepower electric motor and a battery pack produced by the CATL-Geely joint venture, offering a maximum range of up to 695 km on a full charge.
The new LEVC L380 features two permanent magnet synchronous motors, delivering a combined output of 536 horsepower and 686 Nm of torque. This configuration enables the MPV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds.
The vehicle is powered by a 140 kWh CATL Qilin battery, providing a CLTC range of up to 825 km. With fast charging, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes, and a 15-minute charge adds over 350 km of range.
