Ahead of the upcoming “F1” movie release, Mercedes-AMG has unveiled a special edition model, the GT 63 4MATIC+ APXGP Edition.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ APXGP Edition takes its inspiration from the fictional Expensify APX GP F1 Team race car, a standout feature in the film. This is the first time the German automaker has introduced a limited edition inspired by a fictional film, rather than real-life F1 racers as is customary.
This high-performance sports car not only makes an appearance in several scenes of the movie but also made its public debut at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix, where a select group of VIP customers got an up-close look.
In terms of design, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ APXGP Edition impresses with its Manufaktur Night Black Magno matte black paint on the front end, combined with graphics that mimic the APX GP F1 car at the rear. Subtle Race Gold accents are used on the edges of the Panamericana grille, air intakes, gills, rear diffuser, and various other aerodynamic elements.
This special edition is equipped with 21-inch multi-spoke forged wheels in matte gold, paired with black brake calipers and high-performance carbon-ceramic discs. Additionally, the AMG Exterior Carbon Fibre package and AMG Night Package II enhance the sportiness with carbon fiber aerodynamic components and dark-tinted details.
The interior of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ APXGP Edition continues the high-performance luxury theme, featuring an AMG Performance steering wheel wrapped in MICROCUT microfiber with contrasting gold stitching. The limited-edition designation “Limited Edition 1 of 52” is placed on the center armrest, emphasizing its exclusivity. The AMG Performance seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather and MICROCUT, with gold stitching, blending performance and sophistication.
The APXGP Edition also features exclusive interior details, including Manufaktur illuminated black door sills and AMG velour floor mats embroidered with the “APXGP” logo in Race Gold, matching the exterior accents.
In terms of performance, this special edition retains the 4.0L V8 Biturbo engine, delivering 585 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. It is equipped with the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission and the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. With this configuration, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 315 km/h.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ APXGP Edition will be limited to just 52 units worldwide. Mercedes-AMG has not yet announced the pricing for this model. In the US, the standard GT 63 4MATIC+ starts at $179,050 (approximately 4.65 billion VNĐ).
