Toyota has just officially introduced the mid-life facelift Corolla Cross with a host of changes ranging from exterior and interior to hybrid powertrain.

The 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross boasts a more modern and angular design compared to its predecessor. The front end has been redesigned with a honeycomb grille and sharper LED headlights. The rear end has also been refined with LED taillights and small spoilers integrated on either side of the lights. The car sits on new 18-inch alloy wheels, refreshing the overall exterior design.

The interior of the 2026 Corolla Cross has also been significantly improved. The centerpiece of the dashboard is a 10.5-inch infotainment screen accompanied by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Toyota has added wireless charging, a redesigned gear shift lever, and refined the central control panel for a more modern feel.

Toyota has gone all out with the GR Sport version of the 2026 Corolla Cross, giving it a fresh new look and improved performance. The exterior stands out with its unique grille and front bumper inspired by the GR Corolla hatchback. It rides on 19-inch black alloy wheels and features an exclusive Storm Grey paint job, resulting in a bold and sporty appearance.

In terms of mechanics, the GR Sport retains the same engine but has a lowered suspension system by 10 mm and fine-tuned handling. The electric power steering has been adjusted and features paddle shifters, along with Sport and Snow Extra driving modes for a more agile driving experience. The interior of this version also includes sports seats and GR-specific trim details.

Toyota offers two hybrid powertrain options for the 2026 Corolla Cross. The Hybrid 140 combines a 1.8L gasoline engine with an electric motor, producing 138 horsepower. Meanwhile, the Hybrid 200 pairs a 2.0L engine with an electric motor, resulting in a total output of 194 horsepower. Both configurations aim to balance fuel efficiency and smooth driving performance.
