On May 7th, the Public Security of Phuc La Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi, Vietnam, stated that they are investigating an incident involving a female motorcyclist who was allegedly assaulted by a male pickup truck driver with a baton.

At around 10:00 – 10:20 am on May 7th, in Phuc La Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi, Ms. M. was riding her motorcycle on Phuc La Street when she stopped by the roadside to take a phone call.

The pickup truck driver, who was traveling behind her, asked Ms. M. to move forward to allow him to pass. However, due to heavy traffic and inability to move, Ms. M. refused. Enraged by this, the driver struck Ms. M.’s head with a baton, causing her helmet to fall off and resulting in a bloody injury near her eye. After the assault, the driver fled the scene in his pickup truck.

Ms. M. was immediately taken to the Military Hospital 103 by her family for emergency treatment. Her family also reported the incident to the police, requesting a thorough investigation.

The Public Security of Phuc La Ward is currently investigating the case and searching for the perpetrator who injured Ms. M.
