April Fools’ Day prank by Suzuki Australia: Meet the Suzuki Slimny, a two-wheeled twist on the beloved Suzuki Jimny. |
On April 1st, Suzuki Australia’s fanpage shared a unique take on the Suzuki Jimny, reimagining it as a two-wheeled vehicle. The Japanese automaker introduced the Suzuki Slimny, touted as the world’s first two-wheeled, four-wheel-drive car.
With a wink and a nod, Suzuki Australia described the Slimny as the first collaboration between their auto and motorcycle divisions. They jokingly boasted that the Slimny boasts the “same great looks [as the Jimny], just a little narrower.” Compared to the standard three-door Suzuki Jimny sold in Australia, the Slimny features a slightly modified front end.
The round halogen headlights have been relocated to the lower portion of the front bumper, making room for turn signals and the Suzuki logo on the grille. The images shared by Suzuki Australia depict a two-seat cockpit with a single steering wheel positioned on the right, complete with side mirrors, windshield wipers, and generously sized tires.
While Suzuki jokingly claimed that the two-wheeled, four-wheel-drive Slimny was ready for production, it was indeed an April Fools’ Day prank. In the spirit of the occasion, a playful comment below the post suggested that the Slimny might need a third wheel to balance.

Prior to this, a post on Reddit by user willg7777 showcased a six-wheeled Jimny, inspired by the Mercedes-AMG G 63 6×6. The extended body of this unique Jimny was crafted by Mocho Fabrication, a company based in the Cotswolds, UK. They also enhanced the chassis, wheel arches, and notably, added a third axle using genuine Suzuki parts.
