Genesis, the luxury brand of Hyundai Motor Group, unveiled two stunning concept cars, the X Gran Coupe Concept and the X Gran Convertible Concept, at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show. Based on the Genesis G90 platform, these concepts feature a two-door configuration and a redesigned exterior, showcasing the brand’s vision for future luxury performance vehicles.

The duo bears a strong resemblance to the X, X Speedium, and X Convertible concepts that Genesis has revealed over the years, showcasing the brand’s design language and evolution.

The images released by Genesis reveal that both the X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible feature the brand’s signature dual-bar headlights and a 3D grille, creating a distinctive and modern aesthetic.

Compared to the G90, the concepts have a steeper windshield and a lower roofline, giving them a sportier and more dynamic profile. The fenders are widened, and the multi-spoke wheels add to the overall sleek design. At the rear, the concepts feature dual LED taillights and dual rectangular exhaust pipes, emphasizing their performance-oriented nature.

The interiors of the concepts are a significant departure from the G90. The Coupe version features a Mediterranean olive tree-inspired theme with green and brown leather, olive leaf patterns on the door trim, and intricate stitching. The Convertible, on the other hand, boasts a finish inspired by the color of grapes used in Cabernet Sauvignon wine, with blue accents throughout.

Both concepts feature a circular steering wheel similar to the G90, with an additional spoke at the bottom, creating a more intimate and driver-focused experience, as noted by Carscoops.

While Genesis has not confirmed production plans for these concepts, they showcase the brand’s design philosophy and future direction. “These concepts demonstrate our pursuit of high-performance technology and luxurious design,” said Mike Song, Global Head of Genesis.
