On May 13, 2025, VinFast officially launched the EC Van, a small electric cargo vehicle, marking a significant step towards a green revolution in freight transportation.

With a payload capacity of over 600 kg, a compact size, and agile handling, the VinFast EC Van is the optimal choice for short-distance transportation needs of businesses, as well as a suitable livelihood vehicle for household economies.

To strongly promote the green transition and bring about substantial and practical changes to transportation and the environment, VinFast officially introduces the EC Van – a small cargo electric vehicle, the first of its kind in the Vietnamese cargo vehicle segment.

The VinFast EC Van (short for E-City Van) features a compact design with dimensions of 3,767 x 1,680 x 1,790 mm (length x width x height), a 2,520 mm wheelbase, and a 2,600L cargo capacity, making it adaptable to various spaces and road conditions, from urban to rural areas. The van accommodates two seats in the cockpit and offers a generous cargo area with a payload capacity of over 600 kg.

The van is equipped with an electric motor that delivers a maximum output of 30kW and 110Nm of torque, enabling a top speed of 75 km/h. Its 17kWh usable battery capacity provides a range of 150 km on a single charge. It supports fast DC charging up to 19.4 kW, allowing a charging time of just 42 minutes to go from 10% to 70% battery capacity. Customers also have the option to purchase a 3kW portable charger for overnight charging at home.

For safety, the VinFast EC Van is fitted with front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, and advanced technologies such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Traction Control System (TCS), and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) for added security during emergency braking.

The VinFast EC Van is priced at 285 million VND (including battery) and comes with a 5-year or 130,000 km warranty for the vehicle and a 7-year or 160,000 km warranty for the battery, whichever comes first. In addition to the standard version, VinFast offers an optional package worth 20 million VND for customers who wish to enhance their vehicle with additional comforts.

VinFast will initiate an early deposit program for the EC Van from 8 AM on May 25 to May 30, 2025, at authorized dealerships nationwide and through its partner, Xanh SM. Customers who place a deposit during this period will receive a 10 million VND discount, deducted directly from the vehicle’s price.

The first VinFast EC Vans are expected to be delivered to customers from November 2025. In addition to distributing vehicles to partners, Xanh SM will also provide delivery services using the EC Van in the future.
