VinFast, the Vietnamese automotive company, has teased a new electric vehicle on their official fanpage, with a countdown to what appears to be its official launch on May 13, 2025. The post includes a cryptic image and the caption, “Only 24 hours left” and “Officially launching a completely new product line.”
VinFast teases a small electric cargo vehicle ahead of its official launch tomorrow.
VinFast has not yet revealed any details about this mysterious vehicle, but based on the image, it appears to be a small electric cargo van or truck. This aligns with VinFast’s previous mentions of launching a light-duty electric truck in the Vietnamese market.
The new electric truck from VinFast is expected to have a payload of only 1.5 tons. With its compact size, it promises easy maneuverability and cargo transportation within urban areas. The truck’s long-distance capability is also assured due to VinFast’s extensive network of public charging stations across the country.
If these predictions are accurate, VinFast will be entering the same segment as the Suzuki Super Carry Van and Blind Van. However, VinFast’s offering will stand out with its emission-free electric powertrain and potentially lower operating costs compared to its competitors.
The introduction of this new electric truck will further enrich VinFast’s product portfolio in the Vietnamese market. Currently, VinFast offers a range of passenger vehicles, including the VF 3, VF 5 Plus, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9. They also have four new electric models, Minio Green, Limo Green, Herio Green, and Nerio Green, specifically targeted at ride-hailing services, with prices ranging from VND 269 million to VND 749 million.

Additionally, VinFast recently launched the EB 6, a small electric bus, along with a school bus version. These vehicles are equipped with a powerful electric motor, a long-range battery, and fast-charging capabilities. The EB 6 also features disc brakes, ABS, EBD, BA, ESC, and ASF for enhanced safety.
