For many, supercars are nothing but a dream, and owning one remains out of reach. So, spotting a Lamborghini or a Ferrari on the road can bring joy to car enthusiasts. But what if you saw two of them together? That’s a double treat for sure!
It’s been a while since Ho Chi Minh City witnessed two mysterious supercars, both with impressive modifications and owned by discreet car enthusiasts, cruising together. One is a Lamborghini Aventador with an SVJ modification, and the other is a Ferrari F8 Spider with a Novitec body kit.
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ modification is rare in Vietnam, with only a handful of vehicles sporting this upgrade. The owner of this particular Aventador has gone all out, from the body kit to the rims and the car’s wrap, creating a truly exceptional look.
The combination of copper-colored paint with black decals and shiny rims makes this Lamborghini Aventador SVJ modification stand out, even during night cruises.
This Lamborghini supercar, with its Aventador SVJ-inspired exterior, belongs to a car enthusiast from the Mekong Delta region. While the exterior resembles the limited-edition SVJ model, the engine remains unchanged. The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 700 horsepower and 690 Nm of torque.
Coupled with a 7-speed ISR automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, this Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 SVJ body kit modification can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h.
The Ferrari F8 Spider, on the other hand, belongs to a wealthy couple from the Central Highlands province. It features a Novitec carbon fiber body kit, including new air intakes on the hood, front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, and mirror housings. A fixed rear wing provides additional downforce, and the car sits on multi-spoke chrome-plated rims.
The Ferrari F8 Spider’s design is striking, with a muscular profile similar to its coupe counterpart, the Ferrari F8 Tributo. The main difference is the retractable hardtop, which can be opened or closed in just 14 seconds. Another unique feature is the small glass partition between the two seats.
The retractable hardtop of the Ferrari F8 Spider can be operated while the car is in motion, although Ferrari recommends doing so at speeds below 50 km/h and in calm weather conditions to ensure optimal functionality.
The addition of the retractable hardtop makes the Ferrari F8 Spider about 70 kg heavier than the fixed-roof Ferrari F8 Tributo. However, it is still 20 kg lighter than its predecessor, the Ferrari 488 Spider. The first Ferrari F8 Spider in Lam Dong province is equipped with a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 711 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque.
This power is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, enabling the Ferrari F8 Spider to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. With the roof open, the car can reach a top speed of 325 km/h, and with the roof closed, it can attain an impressive 340 km/h.
