On May 15, 2025, Dongfeng-Nissan’s first new energy model, the N7, surpassed 10,000 orders just 18 days after its launch. Thus, the Nissan N7 became the fastest all-electric vehicle from a Chinese joint venture to reach this milestone.
Nissan N7 sold like hotcakes, reaching 10,000 units in sales within 18 days.
On the same day, Dongfeng-Nissan held a ceremony to deliver the first batch of vehicles to customers at its New Energy Brand Experience Center in Shanghai. The joint venture’s leadership was present to hand over the keys and personalized gift boxes to the first 35 car owners. This event marked the beginning of vehicle deliveries across China.

Since its launch on April 27, the Nissan N7 has quickly become a popular choice for ordinary families. With a range of convenient features and competitive pricing, this model is particularly attractive to young consumers. Approximately 70% of buyers are young first-time car owners or those switching from other brands. The remaining 30% are loyal Nissan customers upgrading from older models.
Addressing concerns about delivery times, Mr. Zhou Feng, Vice President of Dongfeng-Nissan, stated, “Since its launch, the number of orders has far exceeded our expectations! We are continuously optimizing our production processes, improving efficiency, coordinating resources to rapidly increase capacity, and striving to deliver the N7 to customers in the shortest possible time.”
As previously reported, the Nissan N7 is the commercial version of the Epoch concept car, which debuted exactly one year ago. Belonging to the D-segment sedan category, this vehicle measures 4,930 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, 1,487 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,915 mm.
Externally, the Nissan N7’s design focuses on aerodynamics to optimize its range after charging. As a result, it boasts a low drag coefficient of 0.208 Cd.

However, this “give and take” approach to design means that the N7’s exterior blends in with the plethora of electric vehicles in the Chinese market. This electric car features a daytime running LED strip across the front, LED headlights in the shape of the number “7,” hidden door handles, large windows, and two-tone, multi-spoke alloy wheels. At the rear, the Nissan N7 sports thin, full-width LED taillights. Both the front and rear bumpers feature black gloss accents.

Similar to the exterior, the interior of the Nissan N7 does not offer any unique surprises. Following current trends, it features a 15.6-inch, 2.5K resolution touchscreen infotainment display and a digital instrument cluster. With such a large screen, the N7 has minimal physical buttons.

The front seats are gravity-type seats, equipped with AI-based posture adjustment technology that utilizes data from 49 sensors, and a 12-point massage function. Additionally, a small refrigerator is discreetly placed under the armrest, capable of cooling drinks to -6°C or heating them up to 55°C.
The Nissan N7 is powered by electric motors with a maximum output ranging from 215 to 268 horsepower. It offers two battery options: a 58 kWh or a 73 kWh battery. The larger battery provides an impressive range of up to 635 kilometers on a single charge, based on China’s CLTC standard.
In the Chinese market, the Nissan N7 starts at 119,900 RMB (approximately US$17,500).
