According to Carscoops, Ferrari’s CEO has just confirmed that the Italian supercar maker will unveil its first electric vehicle on October 9 this year.

Details about the EV remain tightly under wraps, but CEO Benedetto Vigna assured that Ferrari is committed to delivering a product that stands out from the crowd, emphasizing style, performance, and driving experience.

Based on the spy shots obtained, Carscoops believes that the upcoming Ferrari EV will be a crossover or, at the very least, a GT car, rather than a traditional sports car.

Prototypes of the four-door crossover with a hatchback design have been spotted testing around Maranello, featuring fake exhaust tips and simulated V8 engine noises.

Ferrari’s upcoming EV launch in October is not the only new model introduction planned for 2025. According to Carscoops, Ferrari is expected to unveil five additional models, one of which has been confirmed as the 12Cilindri Spider.

Another upcoming model that Ferrari has not officially acknowledged is the successor to the Ferrari Roma. The front-engined GT car stopped production last year, and Carscoops spotted its successor undergoing testing in Italy, heavily camouflaged.

Benedetto Vigna reaffirmed that Ferrari’s hybrid strategy, outlined in 2022, remains unchanged despite the global electric vehicle market showing signs of slowing down.

The CEO also assured that Ferrari’s plans would not be affected by potential tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump on imports from Europe.

Ferrari sold 13,752 cars in 2024, an increase of 89 units compared to 2023. The company generated €2.56 billion (approx. $2.64 billion) in revenue last year and expects to reach €2.68 billion (approx. $2.77 billion) in 2025 with the introduction of new models.
