Celebrating 35 years of the Discovery, Land Rover introduces two all-new special editions: Tempest and Gemini.

The Tempest is touted as the most luxurious and refined Discovery ever created, bringing the iconic SUV closer than ever to the realm of the Range Rover Sport in terms of sophistication and price point.

Land Rover describes the Tempest as the “most luxurious, comfortable, and highly equipped Discovery to date.” Its exterior stands out with Charente Grey, Carpathian Grey, or Varesine Blue paint, complemented by a contrasting Petra Copper Gloss roof and exclusive copper-finish accents.

It features unique 22-inch wheels with a gloss black finish and Petra Copper accents. Additionally, the special puddle light projects the distinctive circular logo onto the ground when the door is opened, creating a striking visual effect.

The interior continues the theme of luxury with Ebony Windsor leather upholstery, Shadow Aluminum trim, and exquisite details such as illuminated treadplates with a unique logo and a rear independent climate control system.

In contrast, the Gemini edition appeals to those who favor a dynamic lifestyle. It offers six color options, including the exclusive Sedona Red. The Narvik Gloss black roof and Atlas Gloss accents create a striking visual contrast.

The Gemini is equipped with 21-inch wheels and features a hexagonal puddle light design, differing from the circular pattern of the Tempest. The interior appointments are equivalent to the Tempest, including a four-zone climate control system, a front cool box, unique decorative trim, and bespoke illuminated treadplates.

In addition to the special editions, Land Rover has announced enhancements to the standard S and Dynamic SE models, including new 21 and 22-inch wheel options, although full details are yet to be disclosed.

Land Rover is also introducing three exclusive accessory packs for the Discovery:

1. Beach Days Pack: Features a roof rack, sun shades, and a compact luggage bag, perfect for beach and water sports enthusiasts.

2. Snow Days Pack: Tailored for winter sports enthusiasts, including a ski carrier, side steps, and rubber floor mats.

3. Road Trip Pack: Ideal for long-distance journeys, including a rear-seat entertainment mount (for tablets/laptops), a roof-mounted luggage box, and sun shades.

The 2026 Land Rover Discovery starts at $60,200 in the US. The Gemini edition is priced at $70,800, while the top-of-the-line Tempest edition reaches $83,500, pushing the Discovery into Range Rover Sport territory.

Under the hood, the Land Rover Discovery 2026 is offered with two engine options: a 2.0L turbocharged I4 gasoline engine producing 296 hp and 400 Nm of torque, or a 3.0L turbocharged I6 gasoline engine delivering 355 hp and 500 Nm of torque.
