With a shared vision of enhancing road safety awareness and skills among the youth, Honda Vietnam (HVN) in collaboration with the Traffic Police Department – Ministry of Public Security, the National Committee for Traffic Safety, and the Ministry of Education and Training, organized a ceremony to launch a training program on legal knowledge and safe motorcycle riding skills for high school and vocational school students. The event took place at Dong Anh High School in Hanoi, with the participation of nearly 600 11th-grade students.
This event marks the beginning of a series of training activities to be implemented nationwide in 2025. It is one of the practical efforts demonstrating HVN’s strong commitment to building a safe, civilized, and sustainable road traffic society.
As a member of Honda’s global network and a leading company in Vietnam’s motorcycle market, HVN pledges to strive toward realizing Honda’s global vision of “Zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles by 2050.” Simultaneously, HVN joins hands with the Government to achieve the national goal of “Zero road traffic fatalities” by 2045.
HVN is dedicated to making Honda’s global vision of zero traffic collision fatalities a reality by 2050.
To attain these long-term goals, HVN not only focuses on providing high-quality and exceptionally safe products but also actively collaborates with authorities such as the National Committee for Traffic Safety and the Traffic Police Department (TPD) under the Ministry of Public Security. HVN also works closely with the Ministry of Education and Training to implement comprehensive and sustainable road safety programs. Notably, HVN has been promoting road safety and providing training to over 27 million people annually, including students of all levels, during the period of 2020-2025.
Given the increasing complexity and risks associated with students riding motorcycles, the Government issued Decree No. 151/2024/ND-CP on November 15, 2024. This decree details specific articles and measures for implementing the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, including the provision of safe motorcycle riding skills training for students enrolling in high school and vocational schools.
In alignment with the goals of Decree 151, on February 14, 2025, HVN and the TPD signed an agreement outlining their cooperation on road safety for the period of 2025-2027. As per the agreement, HVN, with the support of the National Committee for Traffic Safety and the Ministry of Education and Training, and in collaboration with the Honda Authorized Dealer Network, organized a series of training programs on legal knowledge and safe motorcycle riding skills for high school and vocational school students.
The training sessions are designed to be engaging and interactive, moving away from traditional theoretical lectures. Instead, they incorporate visual aids and practical activities to ensure students can easily grasp and retain the knowledge. Notably, students also get to participate in hands-on riding exercises and hone their skills in handling real-life traffic situations with the Honda ICON e electric motorcycle. The ICON e is designed with a compact and modern aesthetic, packed with safety features, smooth performance, and stable handling, providing peace of mind for both students and their parents.
Students engage in hands-on riding exercises and improve their skills in managing real-life traffic situations with the Honda ICON e electric motorcycle.
Following each training session, students undergo both theoretical and practical assessments to ensure they are competent and confident in safely operating a motorcycle on the roads.
Through these meaningful and practical training activities, students are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to ride motorcycles confidently and safely. They will be able to navigate the roads independently and securely.
Today’s ceremony marks the beginning of 35 training programs that will be conducted nationwide across all provinces and cities. With these initiatives, HVN aims not only to impart essential knowledge and skills to the students but also to foster a culture of safe road usage among the younger generation. This is a testament to HVN’s relentless efforts in its journey to become a “Company society wants to exist,” contributing to a safer, more civilized, and sustainable traffic environment in Vietnam.
