Honda Vietnam recently collaborated with various organizations to launch a program on legal knowledge and safe motorcycle riding skills for high school and vocational school students.
The launch event, held at Dong Anh High School in Hanoi, was attended by nearly 600 11th-grade students. It marked the beginning of a series of training activities to be implemented nationwide in 2025. This initiative reflects HVN’s tangible efforts and strong commitment to building a safe, civilized, and sustainable transportation society.
As a member of the global Honda family and a leading company in Vietnam’s motorcycle market, HVN is committed to realizing Honda’s global vision of “Zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles by 2050.” They also align with the Government’s goal of “Zero road traffic deaths by 2045.”
To achieve these long-term goals, HVN not only focuses on providing high-quality and exceptionally safe products but also actively collaborates with authorities such as the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Traffic Police Department (TPD) of the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Education and Training. They jointly implement comprehensive and sustainable road safety programs. Notably, they aim to educate over 27 million people annually about road safety, including students of all levels, during the 2020-2025 period.
Given the increasing complexity and risks associated with high school students riding motorcycles, the Government issued Decree No. 151/2024/ND-CP on November 15, 2024. This decree details specific articles and measures for implementing the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, including safe motorcycle riding skills training for high school and vocational school students.
In line with the objectives of Decree 151, on February 14, 2025, HVN and the TPD signed an agreement on road safety cooperation for the 2025-2027 period. As per the agreement, HVN collaborated with the TPD, with strong support from the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Ministry of Education and Training, and the active participation of the Honda Authorized Dealer (HEAD) system, to organize a series of programs on legal knowledge and safe motorcycle riding skills for high school and vocational school students.
The training sessions are designed to be engaging and interactive, with a focus on visual aids and practical exercises, making it easier for students to retain knowledge. Notably, students get to practice riding and honing their road skills with the premium Honda ICON e: electric motorcycle, known for its compact and modern design, superior safety features, smooth performance, and stable handling, providing peace of mind for both parents and students alike.
Following each training session, students undergo theoretical and practical tests to ensure they are competent and confident in safely riding motorcycles on the roads.
Through these meaningful and practical training activities, students are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to ride motorcycles safely and independently.Â
Today’s launch event marks the beginning of 35 programs to be conducted nationwide across all provinces. With this initiative, HVN aims not only to empower students with essential knowledge and skills but also to foster a culture of safe road habits among the younger generation. This effort is a testament to HVN’s relentless pursuit of becoming a “Company society wants to exist,” contributing to a safer, more civilized, and sustainable transportation environment in Vietnam.
