Toyota has unveiled the latest generation of its RAV4 model, now available globally. The new lineup features three distinct design styles: Core, GR Sport, and Adventure (known as Woodland in the US).

Among these variants, the Toyota RAV4 GR Sport 2026 stands out as a sports-inspired take on the C-segment SUV.

Let’s take a closer look at the newly unveiled Toyota RAV4 GR Sport 2026.

The new Toyota RAV4 continues to utilize the GA-K platform but with enhancements for improved torsional rigidity and suspension performance.

Dimensions-wise, the 2026 RAV4 measures 4,600 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, making it just 5 mm lower than its predecessor. Notably, it boasts a 20 mm higher ground clearance compared to other new RAV4 variants.

The RAV4 GR Sport stands apart from the Core and Adventure styles, drawing on Toyota’s racing expertise. It is the seventh Toyota model in the Japanese market to receive the GR Sport treatment, following the likes of the Corolla Cross, Aqua, and Land Cruiser.

A key highlight of the Toyota RAV4 GR Sport 2026 is its unique front bumper, featuring a hexagonal “Functional MATRIX” grille inspired by the letter “G,” a signature element of Toyota’s GR lineup.

The rear bumper’s lower section resembles a diffuser.

The GR Sport’s alloy wheels are 2.2 kg lighter per rim thanks to a special design.

Additionally, the GR Sport features a rear suspension brace for improved chassis rigidity. A suspension cover smoothly directs airflow from beneath the body to the diffuser. Similar covers are found on the lower control arms. High-performance shocks enhance stiffness at the front of the vehicle.

Inside, the Toyota RAV4 GR Sport 2026 boasts dedicated sports seats with anti-static functionality.

In this sixth-generation model, Toyota has discontinued the conventional gasoline engine option. Instead, buyers can choose between two hybrid powertrains: a standard hybrid (HEV) or a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). Both are expected to feature the same 2.5-liter inline-four engine as the previous generation.
