VinFast Unveils the EC Van’s Interior: Features a Screen Behind the Steering Wheel

Despite belonging to the affordable commercial vehicle segment, the VinFast EC Van boasts notable features, particularly the display screen behind the steering wheel. This detail, omitted from the VinFast VF 3 to optimize costs, has now been included as a standard feature in the EC Van, reflecting VinFast’s pragmatic approach to its commercial vehicle line.

Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a central infotainment screen, although it appears smaller than the 10-inch display found in the VF 3. Specific details have not been confirmed by VinFast, but given its nature as a light truck, it is likely that the entertainment system has been simplified.

The EC Van features a two-spoke steering wheel, similar to the VF 3, without integrated function control buttons. The design and shape are almost identical, indicating that VinFast utilizes a common interior platform for its smallest models.

The seats in the VinFast EC Van are upholstered in gray fabric, consistent with the minimalist style, ease of cleaning, and the option for leather upholstery if desired. One notable feature is the manual window crank, a familiar design in small trucks, reflecting the vehicle’s positioning as an affordable option, optimizing operational and maintenance costs.

The shared images also reveal that this electric truck features round air vents, differing from the vertical vents typically seen in the VF 3. This design choice may enhance even air distribution within the narrow cabin.

To offer more choices to consumers, VinFast will provide an optional upgrade package worth 20 million VND (Vietnamese Dong), allowing further customization of amenities based on individual needs. While the specifics of this package have not been disclosed, it is predicted to include entertainment system enhancements, seat upholstery options, or connectivity features.

The VinFast EC Van was first introduced on May 13, 2025. With overall dimensions of 3,767 mm in length, 1,680 mm in width, and 1,790 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,520 mm, its size is comparable to some A-segment hatchbacks, yet its cargo space has been optimized for carrying goods.

According to the manufacturer, the EC Van offers an impressive 2,600 liters of cargo capacity, making it ideal for transporting bulky items within urban areas. Its maximum payload capacity exceeds 600 kg, which is considerable given its compact body.

In terms of performance, the EC Van is powered by an electric motor delivering 40 horsepower and a maximum torque of 110 Nm. With a top speed of 75 km/h, it is well-suited for inner-city deliveries and short-distance transportation.

The vehicle’s battery has a capacity of 17 kWh and offers a range of 150 km on a single charge. It supports fast charging up to 19.4 kW, enabling a charge from 10% to 70% in approximately 42 minutes. Additionally, users can opt for a portable 3 kW home charger, a convenient option for small businesses or individuals without access to fixed charging stations.

The VinFast EC Van is priced competitively at 285 million VND, including the battery. Compared to similar light trucks with internal combustion engines or traditional small vans, this price is attractive, especially considering the low operating costs associated with electric vehicles.

From now until May 30, early bird customers can enjoy a discount of 10 million VND, bringing the price down to 275 million VND – an excellent value proposition for small businesses, urban delivery services, or individuals in the transportation industry.
