Last weekend, a rare and eye-catching sports car made an appearance near the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House. The Lexus LC 500, a luxury sports car of which there is only one in Vietnam, was spotted after being missing for many years.
This particular Lexus LC 500 is a head-turner with its red paint job. The last time this car was seen on social media, it was covered in a thick layer of dust.
There is another Lexus LC Coupe in Vietnam, but it is a hybrid model, the LC500h, and its whereabouts are unknown. The price of the unique Lexus LC 500 on Vietnamese roads is undisclosed, but it retails for $92,000 overseas.
The Lexus LC 500’s exterior stands out with its large spindle grille and distinctive headlights featuring three LED balls. The daytime running lights add a unique touch to the front end. At the rear, the sports car features an unusual design for the LED taillights. Finishing off the look are 20- to 21-inch chrome-plated alloy wheels.

Step inside the Lexus LC 500, and you’ll find a premium interior with leather-trimmed seats. The infotainment system features a 10.3-inch display controlled by a touchpad. The center console and dashboard are crafted by Lexus’ renowned Takumi artisans.
Under the hood, the Lexus LC 500 is powered by a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that produces 471 horsepower at 7,100 rpm and 540 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm.
The engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels. This combination enables the one-of-a-kind Lexus LC 500 to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 270 km/h.
