Honda has unveiled its ambitious plans for the electric motorcycle market, announcing a $3.4 billion investment during a recent press conference. The Japanese automotive manufacturer aims to introduce at least 10 new electric motorcycle models globally by 2025, with a strategic focus on specific markets.

Among these, four models dubbed “Fun EV” will be targeted at the Japanese, European, and American markets. Honda is also prioritizing the Asian market, with plans to launch at least seven electric motorcycle models in the region between 2022 and 2025.
The company’s electric motorcycle lineup, as revealed in the images, ranges from compact urban models to larger motorcycles built for long-distance riding.

Honda’s sales projections for its electric motorcycles are optimistic. The company expects to sell 1 million units by 2026, capturing 5% of the internal combustion engine motorcycle market. By 2030, Honda forecasts sales of 3.5 million electric motorcycles, equivalent to a 15% market share.

However, in Vietnam, Honda has yet to introduce electric motorcycles to its product portfolio. Meanwhile, its domestic rival, Yamaha, has already launched the NEO’S model to compete with brands like VinFast and Yadea.
