The story of two ultra-luxury Rolls-Royce cars owned by Vietnamese businessman Trinh Van Quyet took an unexpected turn when, after months of unsuccessful auctions, they found a new owner. Interestingly, Mr. D.H.M. revealed that he sold the cars to the former chairman of FLC, shedding new light on their journey.

The intriguing part is the sale of the Rolls-Royce Ghost adorned with gold details to Mr. Quyet, which took place when the former CEO of Rolls-Royce Vietnam desired a villa owned by the corporation in Ha Long. Mr. Minh shared that he offered to trade his gold-adorned Ghost for FLC’s villas in Ha Long, and Mr. Quyet readily agreed to the proposal.

Subsequently, Mr. Quyet inquired about the price of the gold-detailed Ghost, and upon learning that it was valued at 40 billion VND, with a discounted price of 37 billion VND for acquaintances, he promptly agreed to the exchange for three villas at FLC Ha Long. The transaction was swiftly concluded.

The Ghost in question was seized by the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV) Quy Nhon branch on September 8, 2022, as a debt recovery measure. After several unsuccessful auctions, a showroom in Hanoi acquired the car and resold it to a customer.

This gold-plated Rolls-Royce Ghost is powered by a twin-turbocharged V12 engine with a displacement of 6.6 liters, delivering a maximum output of 562 horsepower and a peak torque of 780 Nm.

Coupled with an 8-speed automatic ZF transmission, the Rolls-Royce Ghost accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 5 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.
