The Vietnamese automotive market in late May 2025 is witnessing unprecedented deep discounts, especially in the 7-seat SUV segment.

Many models are priced at record lows to stimulate consumption as purchasing power slows and dealers make room for 2025 upgraded versions.

Here are some 7-seat SUV models that are being offered with significant discounts at the end of May:

Isuzu Mu-X

The Isuzu Mu-X D-segment SUV is currently being offered with discounts of up to VND 265-270 million by some dealerships for the 2023 production year (VIN 2023) models, bringing the actual price of the top-of-the-line Premium 1.9 AT 4×4 trim down to around VND 980-985 million. This price range is comparable to C-segment SUVs, despite the Mu-X belonging to a higher segment.

Despite the deep discounts, the Mu-X remains a slow-selling model with only 77 units sold in the first four months of 2025. The drastic discounts are believed to be a move to clear inventory before the launch of the mid-life facelift model in early June.

Hyundai Santa Fe

The Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 is also being offered with substantial discounts of up to VND 100-200 million depending on the trim level. After the discount, the standard version is priced at VND 970 million, while the top-of-the-line Calligraphy trim is priced at around VND 1,165-1,2 billion.

Despite selling over 6,900 units in 2024, Santa Fe’s sales are showing signs of decline, with only 918 units sold in the first four months of 2025.

Ford Explorer

Customers purchasing the large Ford Explorer SUV this May are also being offered discounts of up to VND 100 million by Ford Vietnam. However, this promotion is only applicable for 2024 production year models.

The Ford Explorer is only available in one trim in the Vietnamese market. It is powered by a 2.3L turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 300 horsepower and 431 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, delivering robust and agile performance.

Kia Sorento

Also, during this May, many dealerships are offering the Kia Sorento with discounts ranging from VND 55 to 100 million, depending on the trim. The Kia Sorento 2.2D Luxury diesel standard trim is now available at a price of only VND 889 million, a discount of VND 65 million from the listed price of VND 954 million. Higher trim levels such as the 2.2D Signature and 2.2D Premium (2025 production year) are also being offered with discounts of up to VND 55 to 100 million, bringing the actual price down to just over VND 1 billion, a highly competitive price in the mid-range 7-seat SUV segment.

In addition to the models with direct discounts of up to hundreds of millions, other 7-seat SUVs such as the Ford Everest and Honda CR-V are also offering promotions in the form of registration fee support or accessory gifts worth tens of millions of dong.
