Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam is set to unveil its much-anticipated DST Concept SUV at the upcoming Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Festival 2025, taking place on June 6 in Hanoi. This marks the first time the Japanese automaker’s 7-seater SUV will be introduced in the Vietnamese market.
DST Concept made its global debut at the Philippines International Motor Show (PIMS) in October 2024 and instantly grabbed attention for its exterior design, bearing resemblance to the Mitsubishi Xforce. This similarity earned it the nickname, “Xforce 7-seater.”
The vehicle’s exterior stands out with its distinctive LED headlights and taillights in a hammer-like shape, along with a 3D grille featuring the new Dynamic Shield design language. The muscular fender flares and large alloy wheels further enhance its robust presence.
According to initial information revealed by Mitsubishi, the DST Concept’s interior promises a spacious, comfortable, and premium experience with the extensive use of soft-touch materials. A panoramic sunroof floods the cabin with natural light. The dashboard design seamlessly integrates a digital instrument cluster with a central touchscreen, while the center console features a unique rotary dial and gear lever design.
While Mitsubishi has not yet disclosed detailed information about the powertrain or chassis structure of this SUV, the DST Concept showcased at PIMS was front-wheel drive (FWD) and offered five driving modes: Normal, Wet, Mud, Gravel, and Tarmac. These modes mirror those found in the Xforce, indicating a focus on multi-terrain capability while remaining user-friendly for urban drivers.
A commercial version of the DST Concept is expected to be released in the near future. In January 2025, a prototype of the vehicle was spotted undergoing testing in Indonesia, where Mitsubishi manufactures the Xforce and Xpander models.
In addition to showcasing the DST Concept, Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam will host a test drive event for its Xpander, Xpander Cross, Xforce, and Triton models. These test drives will offer diverse and professionally designed courses in a safe environment.
The Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Festival 2025 will take place in Hanoi from June 7 to 8 and in Ho Chi Minh City from June 21 to 22. Visitors can enjoy family-friendly activities, including games, culinary delights, and lucky draws. Mitsubishi car owners can also take advantage of free technical consultations, vehicle inspections, and car wash services during the event.
