At the end of March, Honda introduced the Scoopy Kuromi, a special edition model celebrating the 20th anniversary of the famous Sanrio character, Kuromi.

The Honda Scoopy Kuromi is a limited edition with only 2,000 units produced, and a small number have already been brought to Vietnam through private dealers in Ho Chi Minh City.

Based on the latest generation of the Scoopy scooter series, the Kuromi version retains the soft design style with many characteristic rounded curves of the Scoopy. The vehicle’s dimensions are 1,869 mm in length, 693 mm in width, and 1,075 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,251 mm and a seat height of 746 mm. With a dry weight of approximately 95 kg, it is suitable for young or female customers.

The highlight of this limited edition Honda Scoopy is the exterior decoration featuring Kuromi on both sides of the vehicle, the front fender, and under the hook area near the handlebars. Additionally, the footrest area is enhanced with a custom mat featuring the phrase “Celebrating 20 Years of Kuromi,” adding a distinct personalized touch.

Accompanying the scooter is a limited-edition set of accessories, including a helmet and T-shirt featuring official Kuromi designs, further enhancing its collectability and exclusive appeal.

Despite its compact size, the Honda Scoopy Kuromi boasts notable amenities such as LED headlights, positioning lights in the form of two arcs, round taillights, and a striking purple-painted kickstand. The turn signals are halogen and placed separately from the main light cluster to maintain a classic look.

The instrument cluster is fully digital, complemented by a Smartkey system and a USB Type-C charging port integrated below the handlebars. Both wheels feature 12-inch rims, along with a front disc brake and rear drum brake.

Powering the Honda Scoopy Kuromi is a SOHC, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 109.5 cc engine that delivers 8.8 horsepower and a maximum torque of 9.2 Nm. It is paired with a CVT transmission, making it highly suitable for urban environments.

Although the importing entity has not announced the official selling price, the scooter is priced at 60,800 baht in Thailand, equivalent to nearly 43 million VND. However, taking into account taxes and import costs, the actual price in Vietnam could reach approximately 90 million VND, similar to the previously introduced Scoopy Hello Kitty.

With its limited global production and distinctive appearance, the Honda Scoopy Kuromi is expected to be a compelling choice for enthusiasts of animated-themed scooters and collectors in Vietnam.
