Honda Expands Its Global Electric Vehicle Lineup with the Introduction of the All-New e:N2 SUV in the Asian Market
Honda e:N2 is regarded as the international version of the e:NP2 and e:NS2 duo, developed through the collaboration between Honda Japan and its two joint ventures, GAC Honda and Dongfeng Honda, in China.
In terms of design, the Honda e:N2 boasts a sporty exterior with overall dimensions of 4,788 mm in length, 1,838 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 2,753 mm. Compared to the e:N1, the e:N2 is 398 mm longer, 48 mm wider, and has a 143 mm longer wheelbase, promising a spacious interior and a more solid driving feel.
The vehicle is built on the dedicated e:N Architecture F platform, specifically designed for Honda’s new generation of electric vehicles. Powering the e:N2 is a front-mounted electric motor that delivers a maximum output of 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 160 km/h and a range of up to 500 km based on the NEDC standard, thanks to its 68.8 kWh Ternary Lithium-ion battery.
The Honda e:N2 features a neatly positioned charging port on the side of the vehicle, rather than at the front like many current electric vehicles. This change not only enhances aesthetics but also improves convenience during daily use.
In China, the Honda e:N2 is priced from 159,800 Chinese yuan (approximately 570 million VND). If distributed in Southeast Asia, many believe that the e:N2 would be a more attractive and reasonable choice compared to the current e:N1 offering.
