After a much-anticipated wait, Lexus officially unveiled the RX 350h in Vietnam on May 27. This is the second hybrid model of the RX line in the domestic market, following the RX 500h F Sport Performance, targeting customers who demand both performance and environmental friendliness.
The Lexus RX 350h is offered in two variants: Premium and Luxury, priced at 3.5 billion VND and 4.33 billion VND, respectively. The first units have already arrived at dealerships and are ready for customer delivery.
Under the hood is a hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.5L gasoline engine producing 187.7 hp and an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 247 hp. The vehicle is equipped with a smooth CVT transmission and an AWD all-wheel-drive system, promising a driving experience that is both powerful and fuel-efficient.
In terms of exterior design, the RX 350h doesn’t deviate much from the gasoline-powered RX 350. The most noticeable distinction is the small “h” logo at the rear, a characteristic feature of Lexus’ hybrid models. Both variants are fitted with 21-inch wheels, but differ in style: the Premium version sports two-tone rims, while the Luxury version opts for a sporty black finish.
The interior exudes Lexus’ signature refinement and modern aesthetics. The RX 350h is enhanced with a 360-degree surround-view camera and a heads-up display, improving visibility and safety during operation. Additionally, the electric-only driving mode (EV Mode) enables quiet and emission-free urban mobility.
The differentiation between the two RX 350h variants extends beyond pricing to their respective amenity offerings. While the Premium version features a standard speaker system and a basic sunroof, the Luxury variant boasts an exceptional Mark Levinson audio system and a panoramic sunroof, creating a more spacious and opulent ambiance.
Despite being positioned as a more economical option due to its hybrid technology, the Lexus RX 350h will be sold alongside the current gasoline-powered RX 350 models. This addition expands the choices for customers who appreciate Lexus’ luxurious SUV style while also catering to the growing trend of eco-friendly vehicles in Vietnam.
