Honda Unveils the All-New Electric Motorcycle: E-VO

The Honda E-VO boasts a design inspired by the classic Cafe racer motorcycles. Its front end features a distinctive LED headlight paired with a small windshield. Clip-on handlebars, commonly found on sportbikes, are present, but Honda has opted for a lowered seat height instead, prioritizing comfort for everyday city riding.

While the overall design pays homage to the classics, modern touches abound, including full LED lighting, upside-down front forks, a monoshock rear suspension, and front/rear ABS brakes.

In terms of amenities, the E-VO is equipped with two 7-inch TFT displays, one at the handlebar and another on the bike’s body. These screens provide riders with vital information such as speed, battery levels, navigation, music playback, and connection statuses, offering a modern and convenient riding experience.

The system seamlessly integrates with smartphones and supports DJI camera connections, enabling personalized journey recording. Additionally, the motorcycle features a smart NFC locking system, doing away with traditional mechanical keys.

The Honda E-VO is powered by a mid-mounted electric motor, delivering a maximum output of 21 horsepower. This power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a belt drive system, resulting in smoother and quieter operation compared to chain-driven alternatives.

The standard model comes with two lithium-ion battery packs, each with a capacity of 74V/84Ah, offering a combined capacity of 4.1 kWh. This setup provides a maximum range of 120 km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the Pro variant features three batteries, totaling 6.2 kWh, extending the range to an impressive 170 km.

Both versions support 1,800-watt charging, enabling the bikes to gain 50 km of range in just one hour of charging. Users can opt for regular household electricity or fast-charging stations to recharge their vehicles.

Performance-wise, the E-VO can sprint from 0 to 50 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 120 km/h, making it a standout in the urban electric motorcycle segment.

Currently, the Honda E-VO is exclusively available in the Chinese market and is produced by Wuyang Honda.

In China, the Honda E-VO starts at 29,999 Chinese yuan (approximately 96.1 million VND) for the standard version and 36,999 Chinese yuan (around 118.5 million VND) for the Pro model with the additional battery.
