The launch of Route 43 is a significant milestone in the implementation of the Proposal for Developing a Public Transport System Using Electric and Green Energy Buses in Hanoi, approved by the Hanoi People’s Committee in Decision No. 6004/QD-UBND on November 18, 2024. It also demonstrates the city’s commitment to completing the transition to electric and green energy buses by 2030, as outlined in Plan No. 149/KH-UBND issued by the Hanoi People’s Committee on May 28, 2025.
In just the first five months of 2025, alongside VinBus, leading public transport companies in Hanoi, such as Transerco, Neway, Bao Yen, Hanoi Electric Bus Joint Stock Company, and Vietcombank, have actively initiated the transition to electric buses.
The growing participation of transport companies underscores the accelerating trend towards the electrification of public transport, offering Hanoi’s residents a wider range of green, modern, and environmentally friendly mobility options.
