On June 11, 2025, VinFast announced its impressive business results for the past month in the Vietnamese market. Specifically, a total of 11,496 VinFast electric vehicles were delivered to Vietnamese customers in May 2025, marking a 19.8% growth compared to the previous month.
The VF 5 model was the customers’ favorite choice in May, with 4,232 units sold, representing a 13.4% increase. With this remarkable performance, the VinFast VF 5 also topped the best-selling charts in the A-segment SUV category in Vietnam.
In addition to the VF 5, the introduction of the compact SUV model VF 3 in late 2024 has also attracted a significant number of individual customers. VF 3 sales reached 3,950 units in May 2025, an astonishing 66.1% growth, making it the second best-selling model for VinFast last month.
Following closely behind were the VF 6 and VF 7, with sales figures of 1,393 and 773 units, respectively. In contrast to the VF 5 and VF 3, VF 6 sales witnessed a 20.9% decline.
According to VinFast, the large SUV models VF 8 and VF 9 also achieved impressive growth compared to April 2025, although specific figures were not disclosed. Moreover, the Herio Green and Nerio Green models, designed for business services, continued to contribute significantly to VinFast’s overall sales performance in May 2025.
Cumulative sales from the beginning of the year show that the VF 3 is VinFast’s best-selling model in Vietnam, with 19,416 units delivered to customers. This is closely followed by the VF 5 with 18,752 units and the VF 6 with 7,307 units. These outstanding results bring the total number of VinFast electric vehicles sold in Vietnam to 56,187, solidifying the company’s leading position in the domestic market.
